Luxury vinyl plank flooring, supplied and installed in Sydney

Glue-down luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring by Clever Choice – the Touch, Robust, Voyager and Ocean ranges – in realistic timber and stone looks. Vinyl plank is thin, quiet, waterproof-rated and fully bonded to the subfloor, which makes it the go-to floor for apartments, renovations with low door clearances and wet areas.

Why choose vinyl plank

  • Waterproof – the plank itself cannot be damaged by water, so it suits kitchens, laundries and bathrooms.
  • Thin and flat – 2–5 mm thick, so it goes over existing tiles or concrete without raising door heights.
  • Quiet and warm underfoot – softer and quieter than tiles, laminate or hybrid; no hollow sound because it is glued down.
  • No trims needed – glue-down planks need no expansion gaps, so rooms run through without transition strips.
  • Commercial wear layers – 0.3–0.7 mm wear layers rated for shops, offices and rentals as well as homes.

Vinyl plank versus hybrid

Hybrid flooring is a thicker, rigid click plank that floats over an underlay and feels more like timber underfoot; vinyl plank is thinner, glued down and quieter. Choose vinyl plank for apartments with strata acoustic rules, uneven-height renovations and wet areas; choose hybrid where you want a floating floor with a timber-like feel.

Installation

Glue-down vinyl needs a smooth, level, dry subfloor. Our installers grind or level concrete, prepare existing tiles and use the correct adhesive for the range. Most homes are installed in one to two days.

Is vinyl plank flooring waterproof?

Yes. The planks are 100% waterproof and glue-down installation leaves no gaps for water to reach the subfloor, which is why it suits laundries and bathrooms.

Is vinyl plank suitable for apartments?

It is one of the best choices: thin, quiet and able to meet strata acoustic requirements with the right underlay or acoustic adhesive system.

Can vinyl plank go over tiles?

Yes, if the tiles are sound and the grout lines are filled and levelled first. We do this as part of the installation.

How long does vinyl plank last?

Residential ranges carry 15–25 year warranties; commercial wear layers last longer. Keep grit off with mats and use felt pads under furniture.

Does vinyl plank fade in the sun?

Quality LVP has a UV-stable wear layer. Like any floor it is best protected with blinds on north and west-facing glass.

Can I install vinyl plank myself?

Glue-down vinyl is unforgiving of subfloor imperfections and adhesive mistakes. We quote supply and professional installation so the warranty is protected.
