Mayne Rugs & Flooring supplies and installs custom blinds across Sydney from our Castle Hill and Liverpool showrooms – blockout, light filtering, sunscreen, outdoor and vertical blinds in hundreds of Alpha Fabrics and Texstyle colours and weaves.

Which blind for which room

  • Bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms – a blockout roller blind, or a double roller (blockout plus sunscreen) if the room is used during the day.
  • Living rooms and kitchens – light filtering for soft light with privacy, or sunscreen to keep the view and cut glare.
  • North and west-facing windows – sunscreen or blockout to control heat; both reduce fading of floors and furniture.
  • Sliding doors and wide windows – vertical blinds, or wide roller blinds with a centre support.
  • Patios and alfresco areas – outdoor blinds in fibreglass-reinforced mesh with side guides or zip channels.

What is included in our quote

Measure, fabric, manufacture, chain or motorised control, brackets and installation by our own installers, with child-safe fitting to Australian standards. We fit blinds inside the window reveal for a clean look or face-fix them over the frame to block more light – we will recommend the right option window by window.

FAQs

How much do blinds cost in Sydney?

It depends on the blind type, fabric and the number and size of windows, so we quote after measuring. The measure and quote is free and there is no obligation. We will always tell you where a more economical fabric does the same job.

How long do made-to-measure blinds take?

Manufacturing and installation is typically three to four weeks from approval of the quote. We confirm the timeframe for your fabric when we quote and book the installation day with you.

Do you install blinds or just supply them?

We supply and install. Our own team measures, fits and tests every blind. We do not sell blinds for DIY installation.

Inside or outside the window frame?

Inside the reveal looks neatest and suits most windows. Face-fixing over the frame blocks more light at the edges and suits shallow reveals or bedrooms that need darkness. We advise window by window.

Can I motorise my blinds?

Yes. Most roller blinds can be supplied with a rechargeable motor and remote, and grouped so a whole room operates together.

Are your blinds child safe?

Yes. Chains and cords are fitted with tensioning devices or cleats to meet Australian child-safety requirements for corded window coverings.
