Triexta carpet from the Redbook Green range is the softest fibre we sell and the easiest to live with. Stain resistance is built into the polymer rather than sprayed on, so it never wears off, and most spills – wine, coffee, mud, pet accidents – clean with nothing more than water.

Triexta versus nylon and polyester

Triexta feels softer than nylon and resists stains without treatment, while nylon is still the choice for the very heaviest traffic. Triexta outperforms polyester on both crushing and stains at a modest premium. For most family homes it is the carpet we recommend first.

What is triexta carpet?

A carpet fibre (PTT) that combines the softness of polyester with resilience close to nylon, and has stain resistance built into the polymer. Redbook sells it as the Redbook Green range.

Does triexta really clean with water?

For most household spills, yes. Blot the liquid, dab with clean water and blot again. Oily or dye-based stains may need a mild carpet cleaner.

Is triexta durable enough for hallways?

Yes. Triexta recovers well from crushing and carries long wear warranties. For a commercial corridor we would still choose nylon.

Is triexta safe for children and pets?

Yes. There is no topical stain chemical, the fibre is soft, and accidents clean up with water.

Does triexta fade in the sun?

Redbook Green yarns are solution dyed, so the colour runs through the fibre and holds up in sunlit rooms.
