Curtain fabrics by the metre, made up and installed

The Nettex curtain fabric range – sheers, linens, textured plains, blockouts and velvets – chosen from sample books at your home, sewn to your windows in our workroom and installed by our own team across Sydney. Prices are quoted for the finished curtain, not the raw fabric.

Fabric families

  • Sheers – fine polyester and linen-look sheers that filter light and give daytime privacy.
  • Textured plains and linens – the everyday living-room curtain, lined or unlined.
  • Blockout – coated and triple-weave fabrics that stop light and insulate.
  • Velvets – deep pile for formal rooms, theatres and heritage homes.
  • Wide-width fabrics – 280–300 cm wide cloths that run sideways for seamless S-fold curtains.

How to choose

Hold the sample against the wall at the window at different times of day. Light colours lift a room and show less dust; mid-tones hide marks; textured weaves hide creasing. If the room needs darkness, choose a blockout cloth or add a blockout lining to any face fabric.

FAQs

Can I buy curtain fabric by the metre to sew myself?

We are set up to make and install curtains, and our prices are for finished curtains. Ask the showroom about cut lengths for small projects.

How much fabric does a curtain need?

Roughly two to two-and-a-half times the width of the track for a full S-fold or pencil pleat. We calculate it when we measure.

Are the fabrics washable?

Most polyester sheers and plains are machine washable on a gentle cycle; linens, velvets and lined curtains should be dry cleaned. We note the care instructions on your quote.

Can any fabric be lined?

Yes. A standard, thermal or blockout lining can be added to any face fabric.

Do you have fire-rated fabrics for commercial jobs?

Yes. Several Nettex ranges carry fire-retardant certification for hospitality, aged care and education projects.
