Collection: Small Rugs

Where small rugs work

• Bedside – a 60 x 110 or 80 x 150 cm rug each side of the bed is the budget-friendly alternative to one large bedroom rug.
• Entry and hallway – 80 x 150 cm or a short runner inside the door; choose a flatweave or washable rug for muddy feet.
• Kitchen and bathroom – a washable 60 x 110 or 80 x 150 cm mat in front of the sink or vanity.
• Nursery and kids' rooms – 100 x 100 cm rounds and 120 x 170 cm play rugs.
• Reading corner or under a side table – 120 x 170 cm anchors a single armchair.

How to measure for a rug

Measure the floor area you want the rug to cover, then check the furniture: in a living room the rug should sit under at least the front legs of the sofa and chairs; in a dining room it should extend 60–70 cm beyond the table on every side so chairs stay on it when pulled out; in a bedroom it should run under the bed and out 60–90 cm on each side and at the foot. Leave 30–45 cm of bare floor between the rug and the walls. Our rug size guide has diagrams for every room.

Sizes are approximate

Rug sizes are listed length by width in centimetres (some ranges list width first). Hand-made rugs can vary by a few centimetres from the stated size, and fringes are not included. Each product page lists every available size.

Every rug ships Australia-wide with free shipping on rug orders over $99 (remote postcodes excluded) and 30-day returns on unused rugs in original packaging. Not sure on size? Read our rug size guide or call Castle Hill on (02) 9894 8805 or Liverpool on (02) 9602 7228.
